Workshop on Enhancing Productivity & Quality thru 3M & 5S

CII Institute of Quality (IQ) is organizing a two-day programme on this subject on 28- 29 April, 2009 at Gurgaon.

The 2-day Interactive Workshop on "ENHANCING PRODUCTIVITY AND QUALITY THRU 3M & 5S" will help the participants to understand the relevance of these techniques for their organizations, and contribute towards improving bottom line business performance by focusing on practical issues in the workplace/shop floor.

The broad programme agenda would be :

Day 1 :Concept of 3M
- What is waste ? How to Identify them ?
- Elaboration on 7 kinds of waste.
- Concept of Mura ( Unevenness ) & Mura (Strain)
- Participants through exercises, will be sensitized on these concepts.
- Waste identification by Video analysis etc will be elaborated.
- Some tools such as SMED, String diagram etc which are useful in eliminating wastes

Day 2 : Concept of 5S
- What is 5s ?
- Details of each element of 5s.
- How to use 5s as a tool to see waste.
- How to conduct 5s Audits , check sheets ?
- Best practices in companies following 5s
- How to draw up a roadmap for implementation.
