JUSTIFICATION/REASONS

The Executive Committee Members in their Meeting held on 15/3/2013 discussed the current term of the President of GSIA. It was felt that the current single term of 3 years only and non – eligibility for a second term is too short for a performing President. It was decided that GSIA should go back to its earlier provisions of two years term and eligibility for a second term of 2 years

It was, therefore unanimously resolved that the Constitution of GSIA be amended to allow the President to hold office for two (2) terms and each term of Office should be of two (2) years instead of the present three (3) years.

It was also Resolved that there should be two Vice – Presidents to assist the President in day-today functioning.
